Today Israel faces a new global threat, one that is fought in the media, on university campuses, and in the court of public opinion. Addressing this threat requires a new strategy and a new generation trained to use education and diplomacy to counteract misinformation and propaganda spread about Israel. It also requires a new group of informed and articulate leaders empowered to stand up for Israel and redefine the way Israel is perceived in the UK. Dynamic, innovative and swift-acting, StandWithUs employs a powerful breadth of strategies to elevate the level of consciousness and understanding of the State of Israel among key decision-makers, the media, and the general public – especially the younger generation. From high-powered missions and global conferences to intensive media skills training and international leadership development, StandWithUs makes sure that Israel’s side of the story is told and heard by people all over the world.  Educating a network of pro-Israel campus leaders StandWithUs reaches hundreds of gap year students in Israel to educate them before they return to the UK. In Britain, we are identifying and empowering leading pro-Israel students from campuses across the UK and training them in the field of diplomacy, advocacy and leadership. They are working with partner organisations and individuals, both on and off-campus with the aim of encouraging young adults to be informed, active and articulate ambassadors for Israel.  Effective Speakers and Campaigns StandWithUs speakers feature experts in Middle East history, Israeli society, and Israeli-Palestinian affairs, as well as engaging Israeli young adults, who represent the diversity of Israeli society. Speakers are visiting the UK and UK campuses, as well as various community venues, on a variety of topics designed to counteract the misinformation and propaganda being spread about Israel. Educational Training Workshops StandWithUs educational workshops for young adult leaders inspire and educate participants, helping them to become part of an active pro-Israel community. This year StandWithUs hosted its first “Israel in Focus” Conference in London, together with the Embassy of Israel. This allowed students to come together to discuss local problems, share best practices in dealing with them and to receive training and high-quality materials on how to effectively communicate and educate their communities by organising pro-Israel programmes.
