Peace Takes Two

StandWithUs is proud to announce a new campaign called Peace Takes Two (PT2)

This campaign will be officially launched at our Annual Conference – "Israel in Focus" – which will take place in Central London on Sunday, 6th November. Different tracks for sixth-formers, students and young professionals with top speakers, so SAVE THE DATE!

Throughout its history Israel has strived for peace, and made several offers for Palestinian independence, all of which were rejected by the Palestinian leadership going back to before Israel achieved independence. The Palestinian culture of "NO" is the biggest obstacle to peace in the region, and is a central force behind the Palestinian quest for a Unilateral Declaration of Independence (UDI) at the United Nations this week.

This harmful culture of "NO" has also made its way to far too many university campuses where many pro-Palestinian groups now outright refuse to meet with their pro-Israel counterparts, have declined to host debates, and have instead progressed with demonising Israel through apartheid walls and incendiary programmes which leave little room for coexistence, on campus or in the Middle East.

Peace Takes Two (PT2) is an initiative to cut through the rhetoric and alleviate tension on campus between the opposing sides through discussion of what we view as the main issues of the Israeli-Arab conflict: Jerusalem, refugees, borders, wars and terror, and the prospects for peace. As part of this campaign, StandWithUs is distributing colourful postcards as presented below. On one side they highlight the historic willingness of Israel to live in peace with her neighbours. On the other, they challenge Palestinian rejectionism and reinforce the message that "Peace Takes Two". T-shirts with the logo are also being provided to students.

Students can pre-order postcards for their campus for free – email uk@standwithus.com
