Dear Friends,
We hope you have had a wonderful Summer holiday! As we gear up to the new Jewish year we wanted to wish you and your family a happy and healthy new year. We’re committed to countering misinformation propagated by anti-Israel groups and educating people about the real Israel you know and love. We have redoubled our efforts to engage with hundreds of students while they were on gap year programmes, encouraging them to take their knowledge and love of Israel to reach out to others when they return home. At their request, we formed our UK office two years ago so we could give pro-Israel activists more support and help them push back against some of the vicious and unfair criticism and campaigns led by the likes of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and other radical elements. This year alone, we’ve welcomed Habima theatre group to London in the face of BDS activists, held Buy Israeli Goods days all over the country, and hosted a nationwide tour of a British Muslim called “The Day I Stopped Hating Israel”. We have distributed thousands of resources to students and pro-Israel activists, run educational programmes for community groups, both Jewish and Christian and held speakers programmes at schools nationwide. This year, StandWithUs UK also launched a nationwide Fellowship programme of amazing young adult pro-Israel leaders who are educating others about Israel and countering against anti-Israel groups. Next week, we will be hosting these leaders in Israel, where they will meet government and IDF officials, tour the country and share ideas with our 650-strong Israeli Fellowship Alumni. Last autumn, we ran another amazing "Israel in Focus" student conference, where 120 student leaders gathered together to learn how to be more effective advocates for Israel. Our next such conference will take place in Central London on Sunday, 21st October. 
While Israel faces the threat of a nuclear Iran, the after-effects of the Arab revolts and continuous terrorist attacks and rockets, Israel's friends in the UK need to respond to the continued drip-feed of anti-Israel propaganda. We are committed to being there and encouraging others to take a stand because education is the true road to peace.
