Meet Jossi

Jossi is a 27-year-old Israeli in San Diego on behalf of StandWithUs to serve as the organization's local Education Emissary. He grew up in Israel, the northeastern United States, France and England and returned to Tel Aviv to perform his military service in COGAT (an IDF unit responsible for Palestinian civilian needs), the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, as an International Relations NCO in Hebron and Tel Aviv. In this position, he liaised with international organizations and foreign governments in implementing Israeli governmental policy and providing for the civilian needs of the Palestinian population. Openly gay, he performed his entire military service out of the closet.
